The Arc is the device the whole Zeus range grew out of, and it is a plainer proposition than the models above it. Conduction heating into a stainless steel chamber, an anodised aluminium body you can put in a pocket, and three temperatures you cycle rather than dial: 205, 215 and 225°C, which is 401, 419 and 437°F.
Those three presets are not fixed forever. Zeus ship firmware updates that swap in alternative temperature profiles, so if the default set does not suit how you vape you can change what the three buttons mean rather than living with them. That is unusual on a device this age.
The chamber takes up to 0.3 g, and it accepts ArcPods, which are the aluminium capsules you prefill so a session becomes drop-in rather than pack-and-tamp. Loading loose herb works exactly as normal too. Haptic feedback tells you when it is up to temperature, so you are not watching a light.
A 3500 mAh battery gives about 90 minutes of continuous use, charging over Micro-USB. Two shut-off behaviours protect it: ten minutes of running and it powers down, and if it detects no movement for thirty seconds it stops as well. That second one is worth knowing before you decide the device has a fault.
What you give up against the Arc GT is the gold-plated vapour path. Everything else across the two is the same platform.

Frequently asked questions
What are the three temperature presets?
205°C, 215°C and 225°C, which is 401, 419 and 437°F. You cycle them rather than typing a number. The lowest is where the flavour sits and the highest gives the thickest vapour and gets through a chamber faster. Zeus also release firmware that swaps in different profiles, so the three positions are changeable if the defaults do not suit you.
Can I use ArcPods with the original Arc?
Yes. ArcPods are aluminium capsules you fill in advance, and the Arc chamber takes them as well as loose herb. The appeal is that a session becomes drop the pod in and go, with no grinding or packing at the time. We stock the pods, the replacement lids and a case for carrying them, and the Xtruder if you want them filled automatically.
Why does my Arc keep switching itself off?
Two separate timers, both deliberate. The device powers down after ten minutes of running, and it also shuts off if it detects no movement for thirty seconds. So setting it down mid-session will stop it. That is battery protection rather than a fault, and picking it up and restarting is all that is needed.
What is the difference between the Arc and the Arc GT?
The GT adds GoldSink, which means the heating chamber, the vapour path and the heatsink are gold-plated. Gold conducts heat well, so the argument is more even heat transfer and a cleaner-tasting draw. Everything else is the same platform: same 3500 mAh battery, same three presets, same ArcPod compatibility. If the gold path does not matter to you, the Arc does the same job.
How long does the battery last?
Zeus rate the 3500 mAh cell at up to 90 minutes of continuous use, which in practice is a good handful of ten-minute sessions rather than a day of heavy use. It charges over Micro-USB, not USB-C, which dates the device: the newer Arc GT3 and GT4 moved to USB-C. Worth knowing if you have thrown out your old cables.
Can you deliver a Zeus Arc in Vancouver?
