The Hit is the proper dry herb vaporizer in Yocan's range, and the thing that separates it from their pens is convection. Rather than toasting herb against a hot surface, it pulls heated air through a ceramic oven, so the load cooks evenly and you are much less likely to scorch the bottom of it. It is also why the flavour holds up better across a session.
It works in timed sessions rather than by temperature. You pick a three minute or a five minute cycle and it runs that and stops. Three minutes suits a quick draw or two; five is closer to a full bowl. It vibrates when it is ready and again when the session ends, so you are not watching the OLED screen.
A stir tool is built into the body. That matters more than it sounds on any dry herb device: giving the load a turn partway through a session evens out what has already vaporized, and a tool you cannot lose is a tool you will actually use.
At 1400 mAh it is good for several sessions between charges, 117 mm tall and 23 mm across, and it charges over USB-C.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between convection and the conduction pens?
Conduction presses the herb against a hot surface, so whatever touches the wall cooks first and the middle lags behind. Convection pulls heated air through the load instead, so it vaporizes much more evenly and the flavour holds up longer into a session. It is the main reason the Hit draws better on dry herb than any of Yocan's pen-style devices.
Why timed sessions instead of a temperature setting?
Yocan built it around two fixed cycles, three minutes and five, rather than a temperature dial. Three minutes covers a couple of draws; five is nearer a full bowl. It is simpler to use but gives you less control than something like the Vane, where you set an exact number between 200 and 480°F. Which suits you depends on whether you like adjusting things.
What is the stir tool for?
Herb nearest the chamber wall vaporizes first, so giving the load a turn partway through a session brings the rest into contact with the heat and gets noticeably more out of the same amount. The Hit builds the tool into the body so it is always with the device. On vaporizers with a separate tool, it is the part people lose first.
How many sessions do I get per charge?
Yocan do not publish a figure and it varies with which cycle you use, so we will not invent one. What is published is the 1400 mAh cell, which is the largest in their portable dry herb range, and in practice that is several sessions rather than one or two. It charges over USB-C, so topping it up is quick.
How do I keep it working well?
Brush the oven out while it is still slightly warm, using the brush in the box, because residue lifts far more easily then than once it has cooled and hardened. Do not pack the chamber tight: convection needs air to move through the load, and an over-packed oven chokes the airflow and gives you a weak draw that feels like a device fault.
Is the Yocan Hit available for same-day Vancouver delivery?
It is. Anything ordered between 8 AM and 10 PM reaches you the same day anywhere in Greater Vancouver, usually within a 45 to 60 minute window. Orders taken after 10 PM are sent out next day. Canada-wide shipping is discreet, and the Hit is stocked at Commercial Drive if you would rather collect it.
