Freebase E-Juices
Lower-strength e-liquid for bigger devices and bigger clouds. Freebase nicotine gives a fuller throat hit at 3 to 6 mg/mL, the way sub-ohm and DTL vaping is meant to feel. Built for flavour and vapour, not pocket-size pods.

Freebase is e-liquid that uses nicotine in its pure, unmodified form. It hits the throat harder than salt nicotine, so it is sold at lower strengths, usually 3 to 6 mg/mL. It is the original style of vape juice and is made for bigger, more powerful devices.
Who it suits
Freebase suits sub-ohm and direct-to-lung (DTL) setups, where you want big clouds and full flavour over a tight, cigarette-like draw. At low strength it is gentle enough to inhale deep into the lungs. It is not the pick for a small pod, where the hit would be weak.
Strength
Most freebase sits at 3 mg/mL or 6 mg/mL. Three is light, for sub-ohm clouds; six is a bit more hit for lighter devices or heavier vapers. Because sub-ohm devices vaporise so much per puff, a low number still adds up, so you rarely need more.
VG/PG and clouds
Freebase juice is usually high VG (70/30 or more), which makes the thick vapour sub-ohm tanks are built for. That high-VG mix needs a sub-ohm coil to wick properly; it is too thick for a small pod coil and would starve it.
Freebase or salt
If you are on a pod or want a stronger cigarette-like hit, salt nicotine at a higher strength is the better route. See salt nic. For sub-ohm clouds and flavour, freebase is the one.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is freebase nicotine?
Freebase nicotine is nicotine in its pure, unmodified form, the original style used in vape juice. It gives a stronger throat hit than salt nicotine, so it is sold at lower strengths, usually 3 to 6 mg/mL. It is made for bigger sub-ohm devices and direct-to-lung vaping, where you want clouds and flavour.
What is the difference between freebase and salt nic?
Freebase has a stronger throat hit and comes in low strengths (3 to 6 mg/mL) for big sub-ohm devices and direct-to-lung clouds. Salt nicotine is smooth at high strengths (10 to 20 mg/mL) for pods and tight mouth-to-lung draws, which suits people coming off cigarettes. Match it to your device.
What mg of freebase should I use?
Most freebase is 3 mg/mL or 6 mg/mL. Three is light and best for sub-ohm clouds; six gives a bit more hit for lighter devices or heavier vapers. Because a sub-ohm device vaporises a lot of liquid per puff, even a low number delivers plenty, so you rarely need more.
Can I use freebase in a pod?
It is not the best fit. Freebase is usually high VG, which is too thick to wick well in a small pod coil, and at the low strengths freebase comes in, a pod would not give much of a hit. Pods are made for salt nicotine. Use freebase in a sub-ohm device instead.
