The Switch GO takes the induction heating from the Switch 2 and puts it in a body Dr. Dabber measures as 54 percent smaller. Six inches tall, 3.3 inches wide, 12.8 oz. That is the difference between a rig that lives on a shelf and one that goes in a bag, and it is the entire reason this model exists.
The temperature band comes across unchanged at 250 to 650°F, heating a pure quartz insert, and heat-up still runs 5 to 20 seconds depending on where you set it. What you give up for the smaller body is runtime and warranty: around 20 heating cycles per charge against the Switch 2's 30, and one year of coverage rather than two. Charging is quicker to compensate, 45 to 60 minutes over USB-C with pass-through supported.
The water chamber lights up, which sounds like decoration and is not entirely. The illuminated chamber sits on the right side of the device and doubles as the status display, so you read where you are in a cycle from the same place you watch the water move. The light themes are chosen in the app.
That app is the other half of it. Alongside the dynamic heating modes you can build your own heating curves, so the GO is not limited to a fixed set of presets. If you have used a Switch 2 and want the same behaviour somewhere other than your living room, this is that device.

Frequently asked questions
How much smaller is the Switch GO than the Switch 2?
Dr. Dabber puts it at 54 percent smaller. In figures, the GO is 6 inches tall, 3.3 inches wide and 12.8 oz, against 9 inches, 4 inches and 25.6 oz for the Switch 2. It is roughly half the weight, which is what you feel first. The GO travels in a bag comfortably where the Switch 2 is a device you set down somewhere and leave.
Does the Switch GO hit as hard as the Switch 2?
The heating is the same induction system across the same 250 to 650°F band with the same 5 to 20 second heat-up, so a single dab compares closely. Where the GO gives ground is endurance: about 20 heating cycles per charge against 30. For one person over an evening that gap rarely shows up. Passing it around a group is where you notice it.
Do Switch 2 parts fit the Switch GO?
Treat them as separate. Both take a quartz insert and share the induction platform, but the glass, carb caps and body parts are sized for their own device, and Dr. Dabber sells the accessories under separate model listings. We stock Switch 2 glass, which is not a Switch GO part. Check with us before ordering a replacement rather than going by the family name.
Can I travel with the Switch GO?
It goes in your carry-on, never in checked baggage, because Transport Canada do not allow lithium battery devices in the hold. The GO has one job to do before you leave that most rigs do not: drain the illuminated water chamber. Water plus a pressurised hold is how glass gets ruined. Pack the quartz insert separately so it is not rattling against the frame, and remember that anything you carry in it is governed on its own terms.
How do I clean the Switch GO?
Let it cool completely, lift out the quartz insert and soak it in isopropyl until the residue lifts, then rinse and dry it before it goes back. Empty and rinse the water chamber after use rather than letting old water sit in it, which is the main cause of stale flavour on any water rig. Keep alcohol out of the induction well and use a dry swab there.
Can I get the Switch GO delivered the same day in Vancouver?
Yes. Place an order between 8 AM and 10 PM and it goes out for same-day delivery across Greater Vancouver, usually arriving within 45 to 60 minutes. After 10 PM it moves to the next day. Outside that zone we ship across Canada in plain packaging, with no branding on the outside of the box.
