The Armor is the smallest wax pen Yocan make, and the size is the whole argument for it. It is a 380 mAh pen that disappears into a pocket, and it runs the same quartz dual coil that the much larger Evolve Plus uses, so what you give up is runtime rather than the quality of the draw.
Three voltages sit behind the button: 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 volts. Click five times to switch it on, then three times to move between them. Lower voltage keeps more of the flavour and the terpenes; the top setting gets through a load faster and gives you a denser draw. There is also a ten second preheat on two clicks, which is there for firmer concentrates that need softening before they will vaporize properly.
Two details matter more in daily use than the numbers. The top cap is magnetic, so loading is a pull rather than a twist, and the coil cap underneath is threaded, which is what stops a warm concentrate finding its way into the mouthpiece in your pocket. It charges over Micro-USB and reaches full in about thirty minutes.
A 380 mAh cell is genuinely small. If you dab several times a day, the Evolve Plus at 1100 mAh is the more sensible buy and takes the same style of coil.

Frequently asked questions
How do you use the Yocan Armor?
Charge it first, then press the button five times quickly to switch it on. Take off the top cap, unscrew the coil cap and place a small amount of wax on the quartz rods without touching the wire coils. Put both caps back, press three times to pick 3.0, 3.5 or 4.0 V, then hold the button and draw. Two clicks run a ten second preheat, useful for firmer concentrates.
Which coils fit the Yocan Armor?
The Armor QDC, a quartz dual coil with two quartz rods. We stock them singly and in five packs, along with the threaded coil cap. The Armor Plus is a different pen, and Yocan sell its dual and tri coils as separate parts that they do not list for the original Armor, so stick with the Armor QDC. Swap the coil when the draw tastes burnt or output drops off on a full battery.
What voltage should I use on the Yocan Armor?
3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 volts, cycled with three clicks. The lowest setting runs the quartz cooler, which holds onto more flavour and makes a load last longer. The highest gets the coil up to temperature quickly and produces a thicker draw, at the cost of getting through your concentrate faster. Most people settle in the middle and only move for a particular concentrate.
Why is my Yocan Armor not working?
Start with power: charge it over Micro-USB, which takes about thirty minutes, then press the button five times quickly in case it is switched off. If it turns on but will not hit, look at the coil. Check it is screwed in snugly, wipe the contacts, and try a fresh QDC coil. Those are the same checks Yocan's help centre gives for a device that will not fire: connection, clean contacts, the coil, then battery level.
Yocan Armor vs Evolve Plus: which should I get?
Size against runtime. Both use quartz dual coils, so the draw is comparable. The Armor is 380 mAh and small enough to forget you are carrying, with no built-in storage. The Evolve Plus is 1100 mAh, roughly three times the capacity, and has a silicone jar in the base so your concentrate travels with the pen. Pick the Armor for carrying, the Evolve Plus for using.
Can I get a Yocan Armor delivered in Vancouver today?
Yes. Orders placed between 8 AM and 10 PM go out the same day across Greater Vancouver, and most Vancouver orders arrive within 45 to 60 minutes, with Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver and Surrey taking a little longer. Order after 10 PM and it goes out the next day. We also ship Canada-wide in plain packaging, and it is on the shelf at the Commercial Drive store if you would rather pick it up.
