It depends on the puff rating and how you draw. The ratings here range from about 500 to 28,000 puffs, and those figures are laboratory estimates, so the actual duration will differ according to how often and how long you draw. As a general rule the higher the rating the longer it lasts for a given vaper, and larger tanks cost less per puff.

Through the USB-C port, which is usually at the bottom of the device. Any standard USB-C cable will do, so a phone charger or a laptop port is fine and there is no special charger to buy. Most take under an hour and show a light when charging is complete. It is better to charge it when the vapour becomes weak rather than waiting until it has died completely.

The coil is not receiving enough liquid. That happens when the device is nearly empty, or after a series of long draws back to back. While there is still liquid left, taking a break between draws helps. Once the burnt flavour stays, the device is finished and no amount of resting it will bring the flavour back.

If it stops early on a rechargeable model, the battery is usually flat, so try charging it over USB-C before anything else. If it is charged but gives no vapour, take shorter and gentler draws, since pulling too hard can flood the coil. A device that seems to drain quickly is often being chain vaped, or is a smaller capacity than it feels, so a higher puff rating will last longer between charges.

They do have a shelf life. Over many months the e-liquid can darken and the flavour fades, and the battery slowly loses charge, so a very old device may taste flat even unopened. Most have a batch or date code on the packaging. Buying what you will use within a few months, and storing it somewhere cool and out of sunlight, keeps it tasting its best.

In Canada, vapes and their batteries must travel in your carry-on or on your person, never in checked baggage, which is a Transport Canada rule for lithium batteries because a device that activates in the hold cannot be dealt with. You cannot vape on the plane. For international trips, check the destination's rules first, since some countries restrict or ban vapes entirely.

Disposables here use 20 mg/mL salt nicotine, which is the strength you will find across most of the range. Lighter strengths are stocked on a number of lines if you want less. Salt nicotine is smoother to inhale at higher strengths than freebase, which is why a small device can still satisfy a heavy smoker.

Take it to a battery recycling depot rather than the garbage or the blue bin, since the lithium cell inside can start fires in collection trucks and at the landfill. BC added vapes to its Recycling Regulation in amendments that took effect in November 2025, and Call2Recycle expects a dedicated vape take-back programme in the province in the second half of 2027. For now most municipal battery depots around Metro Vancouver will accept them, and you can drop your empties with us.
