A vape heats a nicotine e-liquid into vapour you inhale, instead of burning tobacco. They range from sealed one-use devices to refillable kits you keep and top up. The main thing to sort out is which type fits how you vape.
Disposable
Filled and charged out of the package, used until the e-liquid runs out, then recycled. The easiest way to start or to keep one in a pocket. See the full range in disposable vapes.
Pod system
A small refillable device with a battery and a pod you fill yourself, or a pre-filled pod that clicks in. Costs less over time than disposables and makes less waste, so it suits everyday use. Browse pod systems.
Bigger devices
Box mods and sub-ohm kits hold more battery and larger tanks for more vapour and adjustable power. Better suited to lower-nicotine freebase juice and people who want clouds and flavour over discretion.
Nicotine strength
Salt nicotine runs up to 20 mg/mL, and freebase sits lower, around 3 to 6 mg/mL. Disposables and pods usually run salt nicotine at 10 to 20 mg/mL, which stays smooth at higher strengths. Bigger devices use lower freebase strengths, around 3 to 6 mg/mL. Go lighter if that feels too strong.
MTL or DTL
Mouth-to-lung (MTL) draws tight, like a cigarette, with higher-nicotine salt juice, and works best on pods and disposables. Direct-to-lung (DTL) is an open, airy draw for big clouds, best on sub-ohm devices with lower-nicotine freebase. Most new vapers start with a tight MTL draw.
When to trade up
A disposable is the simplest start. Once you are going through a couple a week, a refillable pod costs less and wastes less. Whatever you land on, we can get it to you the same day across Vancouver, often in 45 to 60 minutes, and we ship Canada-wide.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a disposable and a refillable vape?
A disposable comes filled and charged, you use it until the e-liquid runs out, then recycle it. A refillable vape, meaning a pod system or device, you keep and top up with your own e-liquid, so it costs less over time and makes less waste. Disposables are the simplest way to start; refillables are cheaper if you vape regularly.
What do MTL and DTL mean?
MTL (mouth-to-lung) is a tight draw like a cigarette, paired with higher-strength salt nicotine, and works best on pods and disposables. DTL (direct-to-lung) is an open, airy draw that makes bigger clouds, paired with lower-strength freebase juice on sub-ohm devices. Most new vapers start with MTL.
What nicotine strength should I choose?
For a small pod or a disposable, 10 to 20 mg/mL salt nicotine is the usual range, with 20 mg the strongest and smoothest at a tight draw. On a bigger sub-ohm device, 3 to 6 mg/mL freebase is more common. If you want a lighter hit, go for a lower number.
What is the best vape for a beginner?
A disposable or a simple pod system. A disposable needs nothing set up, you open it and vape, which makes it the easiest first step. A pod costs a little more up front but is cheaper over time. Both use smooth salt nicotine, so they suit anyone after an easy, low-effort vape.
