Pod System Devices

A small refillable device with a battery and a pod that holds your e-liquid. Cheaper to run than disposables and far less waste, since you keep the device and just refill or swap the pod. A solid everyday step up once disposables start to add up.

A pod system is a compact vape with a rechargeable battery and a pod that holds the e-liquid. You either fill the pod yourself from a bottle, or click in a pre-filled pod, then recharge over USB-C and keep going. It costs less over time than disposables and makes far less waste.

Refillable or pre-filled

Refillable (open) pods you fill from any bottle of e-liquid, which is the cheapest way to vape and opens up every flavour. Pre-filled (closed) pods click in ready to go with no filling, for a bit more per mL. See closed pods if you prefer the no-fill route.

Coil

The coil sits in the pod and heats the liquid. Mesh coils heat evenly for steady flavour and a smoother draw, and most pods use them. On refillable pods you replace the coil or the whole pod every week or two, when the flavour fades or starts to taste burnt.

Nicotine

Pods are built for salt nicotine, which stays smooth at higher strengths, usually 10 to 20 mg/mL (20 is the Canadian cap). That tighter mouth-to-lung draw is what makes a pod feel close to a cigarette, which is why they suit people switching over.

Filling and priming

Fill the pod, then let it sit two to three minutes before the first puff so the coil soaks up the liquid. Skipping that is the usual cause of a burnt first hit. After that, top up before the pod runs dry to keep the coil from scorching.

Is it worth it

If you are going through more than a disposable or two a week, a pod pays for itself quickly and cuts the waste. We can get one to you the same day across Vancouver, often in 45 to 60 minutes, and we ship Canada-wide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a pod vape?

A pod vape is a small refillable device with a rechargeable battery and a pod that holds the e-liquid. You fill the pod from a bottle, or click in a pre-filled one, then recharge it over USB-C and reuse it. It sits between a disposable and a full mod: cheaper to run than a disposable, simpler than a box mod.

How do you fill a vape pod?

Pull the pod out of the device, open the fill port (usually a rubber plug on the side or bottom), and drip e-liquid down the side of the pod, not into the centre airway. Fill to just below the max line, close the port, then let it sit two to three minutes before vaping so the coil soaks up the liquid.

Why does my pod taste burnt?

Almost always a dry coil. It happens when you vape a fresh pod before the coil has soaked up liquid, or when the pod runs low. Prime a new pod by filling it and waiting two to three minutes before the first puff, and top up before it runs dry. If it still tastes burnt, the coil is worn out and the pod or coil needs replacing.

What is the difference between refillable and pre-filled pods?

Refillable (open) pods you fill yourself from any bottle of e-liquid, which is the cheapest option and opens up every flavour. Pre-filled (closed) pods come sealed with liquid and click straight in with no filling, for a bit more per mL. Refillable saves the most money; pre-filled is the least hassle.

How long does a pod or coil last?

A coil or pod usually lasts about one to two weeks of regular use, though sweeter, darker flavours wear coils out faster. You will know it is done when the flavour fades or starts to taste burnt even after priming. Recharging is daily over USB-C; replacing the coil or pod is every week or two.
