This is the Evolve Plus wax pen and the Evolve D Plus dry herb pen sold as one kit. They share a battery: you unscrew one atomizer and screw on the other depending on what you are using that day. Both come in the box with a coil already fitted, plus a spare for each.
The wax atomizer is the familiar quartz dual coil, two quartz rods wrapped in wire that heat fast and keep flavour clean. The dry herb atomizer uses Yocan's D Plus coil instead, a wrapped wire design that heats a small chamber of ground herb by conduction.
Be clear about what the dry herb half is and is not. It is a conduction pen with a small chamber, so it toasts the herb against a hot surface rather than passing hot air through it. That means fast heat-up and a compact device, but it is not a substitute for something like the Hit, which is a proper convection vaporizer. As a pocket option for occasional dry herb use alongside your wax, it does the job.
The battery is 1100 mAh, reading 3.8 volts and about 25 watts at full charge, and it charges over Micro-USB. The silicone jar in the base of the standard Evolve Plus is not part of this kit: what you gain instead is the second atomizer.

Frequently asked questions
How do I switch between wax and dry herb?
You unscrew one atomizer from the battery and screw the other one on. Both come with a coil already fitted, so there is no swapping parts around inside them. It takes a few seconds. What you cannot do is run both at once, so if you want a session of each you will be changing the top of the pen over in between.
Is the dry herb side any good?
It is a conduction pen with a small chamber, which means it toasts the herb against a hot surface rather than passing hot air through it. That makes it quick and pocketable, but the draw is warmer and less even than a proper convection vaporizer. Treat it as a convenient extra alongside the wax atomizer rather than as a dedicated dry herb device.
Does this kit have the silicone jar in the base?
No. The standard Evolve Plus has a silicone concentrate container built into the bottom of the battery, and this kit does not carry that over. What you get instead is the second atomizer and spare coils for both. If the built-in jar is the feature you wanted, the plain Evolve Plus is the one to buy.
Which replacement coils do I need?
Two different ones. The wax atomizer takes the Evolve Plus quartz dual coil, which we stock in five packs, and it will also take the Evolve Plus ceramic donut coil if you prefer a gentler heat. The dry herb atomizer takes the Evolve D Plus coil. Replace either when the taste turns burnt or output falls off on a full battery.
Is it USB-C?
No, it charges over Micro-USB and a cable is included. That dates the kit against newer Yocan devices like the Falcon and the Hit, which moved to USB-C. Worth checking you still have a Micro-USB cable or two around, since most people have been gradually throwing them out as other devices switched over.
Can you get this to me today in Vancouver?
Yes. Orders placed from 8 AM through to 10 PM are delivered the same day right across Greater Vancouver, usually within 45 to 60 minutes. Anything after 10 PM goes out the next day. We also ship Canada-wide in discreet packaging, and the kit is on the shelf at our Commercial Drive store for pickup.
