It runs a hybrid heating system, part convection and part conduction, so the herb heats evenly and the vapour stays consistent from the first draw to the last. You set the temperature to the degree between 104 and 410°F on the digital display, and a booster button adds 27°F when you want a stronger pull near the end. It heats up in about 90 seconds. The chamber takes 0.25 to 0.3 g of ground herb depending on your grind, and two lithium-ion batteries run 60 to 90 minutes. Two things people tend to miss: it ships with a grinder and a filling aid that the Mighty+ leaves out, and its barrel-plug wall charger refills it faster than the Mighty+ manages over standard USB-C. How do you use the Mighty?
Grind your herb and fill the chamber with roughly 0.25 to 0.3 g, using the filling aid in the box to keep it off the seal. Press the power button, set the temperature to the degree with the plus and minus keys, and wait about 90 seconds for the display to show it has reached your setting. Then draw slowly. The booster button adds 27°F when the vapour starts to thin out near the end of a session.
What is the difference between the Mighty and the Mighty+?
Vapour and battery are identical. The differences are all convenience. The Mighty+ heats in about 60 seconds instead of 90, has a ceramic coated chamber that wipes clean instead of an aluminum one, adds a second superboost level, and charges over USB-C. The original Mighty charges from a barrel plug wall adapter, which is actually faster than standard USB-C on the Mighty+, and it includes a grinder and filling aid that the Mighty+ leaves out. If you want the accessories in the box and the quicker wall charge, the Mighty still makes sense.
Can you use dosing capsules in the Mighty?
Yes. A filled dosing capsule drops straight into the Mighty's filling chamber, no adapter needed. It is the tidiest way to pre-load doses for the day and it keeps the chamber cleaner, since the herb never touches the metal. The capsules are sold separately.
How long does the Mighty battery last, and how does it charge?
Two lithium-ion batteries give 60 to 90 minutes of use, which is several sessions for most people. It charges from the included wall adapter through a barrel plug rather than USB, so it is one more cable to keep track of, but it refills faster than the Mighty+ does over a standard USB-C charger.
How do you clean the Mighty?
Take the cooling unit apart following the manual, soak the parts in isopropyl alcohol, then rinse them and let them dry fully before putting it back together. Brush out the filling chamber while it is still slightly warm. Screens and seal rings wear out with use, and Storz & Bickel sell genuine replacements, so you are not stuck when they do.
