The DaVinci IQ is the vaporizer that made DaVinci's name, and it introduced the all-ceramic zirconia air path the brand is still known for. The vapour travels only over ceramic zirconia, with no plastic or glue in the way, which is why the IQ built its reputation on clean, pure flavour.
It heats by conduction, warming the herb rather than pulling hot air through it, and you get real control over the result. Set an exact temperature up to about 221°C, or pick one of the four Smart Paths, which gently step the heat up through a session so the flavour and effect evolve as you go. A dot-matrix LED shows you where you are.
The IQ has DaVinci's flavour chamber, a small zirconia space in the mouthpiece you can pack with herbs or leave empty as a spacer, and it works with concentrates using the pearl. There is also a Bluetooth app if you want to fine-tune temperatures and keep an eye on dosage.
The battery is a removable 18650, so you can carry a charged spare rather than wait to recharge. The IQ suits someone who wants DaVinci's flavour and control at a lower price than the newer IQ2 and IQ3, and does not mind micro-USB charging.

How do you use the DaVinci IQ?
Grind your dry herb and pack the ceramic oven, then turn it on and either set an exact temperature or choose a Smart Path. Give it under a minute to heat, then draw from the zirconia mouthpiece. A light, even pack works best. The flavour chamber in the mouthpiece can be left empty as a spacer or packed with a little herb for extra aroma.
What makes the DaVinci air path different?
The whole vapour path is ceramic zirconia, so the vapour never touches plastic or glue on its way out. That is DaVinci's signature and the main reason the IQ has a reputation for clean, pure flavour. It heats by conduction rather than convection, which is a different feel from Arizer's glass-path convection vaporizers.
What is the flavour chamber for?
It is a small zirconia chamber in the mouthpiece. You can pack it with dried herbs or botanicals to add aroma to your draw, or leave it empty and use it as a spacer to cool the vapour and shorten the path. It changes the taste, not the temperature.
Can you use the DaVinci IQ with concentrates?
Yes, with the pearl accessory, which lets you load a small amount of concentrate instead of dry herb. Out of the box it is set up for dry herb, so you add the concentrate part separately. We stock DaVinci parts alongside the devices.
How is the IQ different from the IQ2 and IQ3?
The original IQ is the most affordable and uses micro-USB. The IQ2 adds an airflow dial and app-based dosage tracking, and the IQ3 adds a bigger 21700 battery, the Cool Core for smoother vapour, USB-C and a ten-year warranty. All of them share the ceramic zirconia path and Smart Paths.
