The AirVape X is the one in Apollo's line that gives you the dial rather than presets. Temperature runs from 200°F all the way to 428°F, set to the degree, with a 1.3 inch screen showing the temperature, the battery and a session timer. That bottom end is unusually low, which matters if you want flavour rather than volume.
It takes both dry herb and concentrate, and the pad for concentrate is in the box rather than sold separately. The oven is oval ceramic and holds around 0.25 g, roughly a quarter more than the XS it replaced.
Heat-up is about 20 seconds. The 1300mAh battery takes around an hour over micro USB and will run while plugged in.
Registered inside 30 days it carries a limited lifetime warranty, which is rare at this price.

What temperature should I run it at?
Anywhere from 200°F to 428°F, set one degree at a time rather than picked from presets. In practice most dry herb sits between 355°F and 410°F: lower for flavour and lighter vapour, higher for density. The very bottom of the range is there for flavour-first sessions and will produce very little visible vapour, which is normal rather than a fault.
Does it work with concentrate?
Yes, and unlike the XS Go the concentrate pad insert comes in the box rather than being an extra. Drop the pad into the ceramic oven, load it, and run it as usual. It is genuinely dual-use, though a dedicated concentrate device will still give you denser vapour if that is mostly what you use.
How is the AirVape X different from the XS Go?
The X gives you a 1.3 inch screen and per-degree control from 200°F to 428°F, where the XS Go cycles five fixed presets between 355°F and 420°F with no screen. The X also has a slightly larger battery at 1300mAh, a bigger chamber, and includes the concentrate pad. Both heat up in about 20 seconds.
What is the X Shell for?
It is the outer sleeve that comes with the device, protecting the body and giving it grip. It pulls off for cleaning. Worth knowing that AirVape parts are model-specific: XS Go shells, mouthpieces and screens do not fit the X, so check the model name before ordering a replacement.
What does the warranty actually cover?
Registered within 30 days of purchase, the AirVape X carries a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. That does not cover wear items like screens, or damage from drops. Registering it takes a minute and is worth doing on the day it arrives rather than later.
