This is the Flat 2.0 with the largest cell Yocan put in the range. Nine hundred milliamp hours against the Mini's four hundred, in the same flat-sided stainless steel body that lies still on a table instead of rolling off it.
Everything else carries over. Voltage runs from 1.8 to 4.2 volts and you set it in tenth of a volt increments rather than cycling presets, with an OLED screen showing the number, the charge remaining and a running puff count. There is a ten second preheat for a cartridge that has stiffened in the cold, and the battery shuts itself down after an hour idle.
The reason to spend the extra over the Mini is simple: with a 900 mAh cell most people stop planning around charging. A 400 mAh battery used through a full day of regular draws will want topping up by the evening. This one generally will not.
Charging is USB-C. As with the Mini and the whole ARI range, Yocan ship this as the battery on its own and no cable is included, so have one to hand for when it arrives.

Frequently asked questions
Does it come with a charger?
No cable is supplied. Yocan send the Flat 2.0 Plus as the battery by itself. It uses an ordinary USB-C connection so any phone or laptop cable will do the job, but there is nothing in the box to charge it with on day one. We say so on every Yocan 510 battery page where it applies, because the box gives no warning.
Is 900 mAh overkill for a cart battery?
It depends on how you use it. If you take a few draws a day, the 400 mAh Mini will keep up and is easier to carry. If you use a cartridge steadily or you are out for long stretches, 400 mAh becomes something you have to think about and 900 does not. The body only grows a little for more than double the capacity.
Can I damage a cartridge with this?
You can, by running it too hot. Because the voltage goes all the way to 4.2, it is possible to push a thin cartridge far past what it wants, which scorches the internal wick and leaves a burnt taste that never clears. Start low, around 2.5 volts, and raise it gradually. The wide range is there to be used carefully, not maximally.
What does the screen show me?
The voltage you have set, how much battery is left, and a puff counter. The voltage readout is the useful one day to day: once you have found the setting a particular cartridge likes, the screen means you can confirm it at a glance rather than guessing where a three-position switch has landed.
How is the Flat different from the ARI?
Mostly shape and material. Both give the same 1.8 to 4.2 V control, OLED screen and preheat. The ARI is a round battery with an aluminium body; the Flat is a square stainless steel one that will not roll away and feels more solid. At the same capacity they perform alike, so choose on which shape suits how you carry it.
Is Vancouver same-day delivery available?
It is. Place your order any time between 8 AM and 10 PM and we deliver the same day right across Greater Vancouver, typically within 45 to 60 minutes. Orders taken after 10 PM are sent the next day. We also ship Canada-wide in discreet packaging, and it can be collected on Commercial Drive.
