Most 510 batteries give you three voltages and a preheat, and so does this one. What separates the Universal Battery 2.0 is that Dr. Dabber put USB-C on it with pass-through charging, which in a category still shipping micro USB in 2026 is the practical reason to pick it.
Three settings, each with its own colour: blue is 2.4 V, cyan is 3.0 V and orange is 3.7 V. Low suits thinner oil and anything you want to taste, high suits thicker concentrate and cartridges that struggle to wick. Purple at 2.1 V is the preheat, a fifteen second warm-up meant for loosening a cold or thickened cartridge before you draw on it. Running preheat on a cart that has been in a cold car is the difference between a proper pull and a clogged one.
Dr. Dabber rates it at 40 to 50 uses per charge. Pass-through charging means you can keep using it plugged in, which matters more on a battery this small than on a rig.
One thing to know before it arrives: Dr. Dabber does not include a USB-C cable in the box. That is their decision, not an omission on our end, and it only matters if you do not already have one. We do not currently stock a spare USB-C cable, so if you have nothing to charge it with, sort that out separately.

Frequently asked questions
What are the three voltage settings and which should I use?
Blue is 2.4 V, cyan is 3.0 V and orange is 3.7 V, and the button colour tells you which is active. Lower voltage gives a cooler, more flavourful draw and suits thinner oils. Higher voltage produces more vapour and helps thicker concentrate wick properly. If a cartridge tastes burnt, drop a setting. If it tastes weak and airy, move one up.
Does the Universal Battery come with a charger?
No. Dr. Dabber states on their own listing that the USB-C charger is not included, so the box is the battery and nothing to plug it in with. Any standard USB-C cable will charge it, so for most people this is a non-issue. We do not currently stock a separate USB-C cable, so make sure you have one before it arrives.
What does the fifteen second preheat actually do?
It runs the battery at 2.1 V for fifteen seconds without you holding the button, warming the cartridge so thick oil flows properly. Cold cartridges are the main cause of weak draws and clogged airways, particularly in winter here. Hit preheat, wait for it to finish, then take your draw normally. It is the single most useful button on a 510 battery.
My cartridge is not drawing. Is the battery faulty?
Usually not. On a 510 setup the cartridge blocks far more often than the battery fails, and cold oil is the most common cause, especially in winter here. Run the fifteen second preheat and try again before assuming anything is broken. Also check the contact: unscrew the cart, wipe both threads with a dry swab and refit it snugly rather than over-tightening, which can push the centre pin down.
Will this battery fit any 510 cartridge?
It takes standard 510 threaded cartridges, which covers the large majority of what is sold. The exceptions are cartridges built for a proprietary magnetic or pod-style connection, which are not 510 at all despite sometimes looking similar. If you are unsure what yours uses, check the thread on the base before ordering rather than after.
Can I add this to a same-day Vancouver order?
Easily. Same-day delivery runs across Greater Vancouver from 8 AM to 10 PM and most orders land within 45 to 60 minutes, so a small item like this usually rides along with something larger. Orders after 10 PM go the next day. Canada-wide shipping is available too, in plain packaging.
