A lentil-sized amount of concentrate goes into the metal cup, the lid seals it, and the insert loads into the oven from underneath so nothing runs into the device. That last part is why you want the purpose-built insert rather than dabbing into a bare oven. Fits the PAX Plus and the PAX 3 only. It does not fit the PAX 2 or the PAX Mini, which are dry herb devices.
