The Zen is the slimmest wax pen Yocan make, 0.6 inches across and stainless steel, and its point of difference is the coil material. The C4-DE is ceramic combined with food-grade diatomaceous earth, a naturally porous mineral. The porosity gives the heated surface far more area in contact with your concentrate than a smooth ceramic cup would, so it comes up to working heat quickly.
Three voltage settings sit at 2.8, 3.2 and 3.6 volts, and the light colour tells you which you are on: white, green then red. That top figure is deliberately lower than most wax pens, which run to 4.0 or 4.2. The Zen is built around a gentler, flavour-first draw rather than maximum vapour, and the coil suits that.
Connections are magnetic, so the mouthpiece and coil pull apart for loading and cleaning without threading.
A spare C4-DE coil comes in the box along with four cotton swabs for wiping the chamber out, which is the right habit on any wax device. Charging is USB-C. At 650 mAh it is a modest battery, in keeping with a pen this slim.

What is a diatomaceous earth coil?
Diatomaceous earth is a naturally porous mineral, and Yocan blend a food-grade form of it into the ceramic of the C4-DE coil. The porosity means far more heated surface is in contact with your concentrate than a smooth ceramic cup offers, so it reaches working temperature quickly and heats the load evenly rather than from one spot.
Why does the voltage only go to 3.6?
Most wax pens run to 4.0 or 4.2 volts. The Zen deliberately stops lower because it is built for a gentler, flavour-led draw rather than the biggest possible cloud, and the C4-DE coil works well in that range. If you want a hotter, denser hit, the Regen or the Evolve Plus XL are the pens in this range designed for it.
What do the light colours mean?
They tell you which of the three voltages you are on without having to count clicks. White is 2.8 volts, green is 3.2 and red is 3.6. Lower keeps more flavour and makes a load last; higher gives a warmer, thicker draw. Three clicks moves between them while the pen is on.
Can I buy replacement coils for it?
Yes. The Zen takes the C4-DE coil, which is specific to it, and we stock it singly or in packs of five. There is also a spare in the box, so a new pen comes with two coils' worth of use. The Cylo's C4-DE Plus is a separate part, and Yocan do not say the two interchange, so order the plain C4-DE for the Zen.
How do I clean it?
Use the cotton swabs in the box to wipe the chamber out while it is still slightly warm, which is when residue lifts most easily. The magnetic connections mean the mouthpiece and coil come apart without unscrewing, so you can reach everything properly. Do not soak the coil or rinse it under a tap.
