Most smoking devices ask you to pull. This one does the work instead. The Gravity Infuser holds two borosilicate glass globes in an anodized aluminium frame, and when you rotate the assembly through 360 degrees, water falls from one globe into the other. That displacement drives air the opposite way through the bowl, and the smoke it produces gets pushed out of the mouthpiece in a steady stream. No electronics and no battery, just water and gravity doing something you would normally do with your lungs.
The result is that you can take it without your mouth touching anything. Smoke streams from the rotatable mouthpiece and you take what you want from it, which is the part people find strange for about a minute and then stop wanting to give up. Cascading through the water on the way cools and cleans it, so a hit lands softer than the volume suggests.
This is the V3, and it is a lighter and more streamlined build than earlier generations, with easier cleaning and a universal 14mm adapter that opens it up to dry material and concentrate attachments. There is an NFC chip in the frame for authentication and registration, which matters on a device that gets counterfeited.
Two things worth saying plainly. The hose is not in the box, it is a separate accessory, so out of the box this is a contactless device. And the warranty runs in three tiers rather than the flat 10 years you will see quoted, which the questions below set out.

How does a gravity infuser actually work?
Two glass globes sit in a rotating frame with water in the lower one. Turning the assembly 360 degrees lets that water fall into the other globe, and the air it displaces is forced back through the bowl in the opposite direction. That airflow pulls smoke off your material and pushes it out of the mouthpiece under pressure. Gravity supplies the force, so you never have to inhale to make it happen.
Is this the same thing as a homemade gravity bong?
The physics rhyme, the execution does not. A bottle and a bucket use water leaving a chamber to pull smoke in, then you inhale it back. This uses two sealed borosilicate globes in a machined frame to move the smoke through water and out to you in a controlled stream, and it can be rotated back the other way to keep going. It is also reusable, cleanable, and does not involve cutting up a plastic bottle.
Does it come with a hose?
No. The V3 ships with the infuser, two glass globes, the 14mm glass bowl assembly, the rotatable mouthpiece and an assembly tool kit. Stündenglass sell the hose assembly separately for anyone who prefers a direct draw. Out of the box this is a contactless device, which is how most owners use it anyway. We are looking at ranging the hose, so ask us if you want one.
Can I use concentrates with it?
Yes, through the universal 14mm adapter. It takes dry material and concentrate attachments, and it will also connect to other devices with a matching 14mm joint. The bowl assembly that comes in the box is set up for dry material, so a concentrate attachment is a separate item. Bring us the attachment you are considering and we will check the fitting before you buy it.
What does the warranty actually cover?
It runs in three tiers, so read it before you count on it. The device carries 1 year limited, extending to 2 years if you register it, so set a reminder when it arrives. The 10 year figure you will see quoted applies to the anodized metal hardware, not the whole device. And glass is excluded throughout, along with coatings and consumables like O rings and valve seals, so a broken globe is not a warranty claim.
Can I get one delivered in Vancouver?
Yes. Order between 8 AM and 10 PM and it goes out for same-day delivery across Greater Vancouver, usually inside 45 to 60 minutes. After 10 PM it moves to the next day. It ships Canada-wide in discreet packaging too, though at this size and price plenty of people prefer to come and look at one on Commercial Drive first.
