The Boost EVO sits in the middle of Dr. Dabber's range, bigger and more capable than the Ghost 2 pen but smaller and cheaper than the Switch 2 that lives on a table. It heats a magnetic quartz chamber with a temperature sensor built into the heating element, which Dr. Dabber calls IntelliTEMP. The sensor reads the chamber itself rather than guessing from the coil, so the unit corrects mid-cycle instead of drifting away from the number you picked.

Six settings, and the light ring tells you which one you are on: purple 500, blue 550, cyan 600, green 650, orange 700 and white 750°F. The bottom half of that range is where the flavour sits. The top two are for when you want the cloud and do not mind getting through the material faster. Heat-up runs about 11 seconds and you choose a 20 or 40 second hold once it is ready, so there is no scramble to inhale the second it buzzes.

The magnetic chamber is the part owners notice daily. It lifts out and drops back in with no threads, so cleaning a gummed-up chamber is a ten second job rather than a careful unscrew. The path from chamber to mouthpiece is quartz into glass, and the quick connect adapter carries an airflow release for clearing the chamber between pulls.

A 3,400 mAh cell covers 60 or more hits and refills in about an hour over USB-C. Pass-through charging works, and it shuts itself off after 15 minutes sitting idle.

Frequently asked questions

What are the Boost EVO temperature settings and which should I use?

Six of them, each with its own light colour: purple is 500°F, blue 550, cyan 600, green 650, orange 700 and white 750. Purple and blue give you the most flavour and the thinnest vapour. Green sits in the middle and is where most people settle. Orange and white produce the biggest clouds and use up your concentrate noticeably faster. Start low on a fresh load and step up as it depletes.

Can the Boost EVO come on a plane with me?

In carry-on only, as with any lithium battery device under Transport Canada rules. The EVO needs a little more packing care than a pen because the chamber is magnetic rather than threaded, so it can lift loose in a bag. Take it out and wrap it separately, along with the glass attachment. Clean the chamber first as well, and treat whatever goes in it as a separate legal question.

How do I clean the Boost EVO chamber?

The quartz chamber is magnetic, so lift it straight out with the unit cool, no unscrewing needed. Soak it in isopropyl alcohol until the residue lifts, rinse it with water and let it dry completely before it goes back in. Cotton swabs dipped in iso will take care of the magnetic contact and the inside of the quick connect adapter. Do not soak the base unit itself, it holds the electronics.

What is the difference between the Boost EVO and the Switch 2?

Size, heating method and price. The Boost EVO heats a quartz chamber with an element and gives you six fixed settings. The Switch 2 uses induction with an infrared sensor, holds anything between 250 and 650°F, adds three dynamic heating modes and pairs with an app. The Switch 2 is also twice the weight and roughly nine inches tall. The EVO is the one you can move around the house.

Which Boost EVO parts wear out and need replacing?

The quartz atomizer is the consumable, since it takes the heat and the residue every session. The glass water attachment is the other common replacement, for the obvious reason. The quick connect adapter and its carb cap seal are the two smaller items worth keeping spare, because a tired seal shows up as a loose draw rather than an obvious break. All four are stocked here and all four are EVO specific.

Can I get a Boost EVO delivered in Vancouver today?

Yes. Orders placed between 8 AM and 10 PM go out for same-day delivery across Greater Vancouver, usually landing inside 45 to 60 minutes. Order after 10 PM and it goes the next day. If you are outside the delivery zone we ship Canada-wide in plain packaging, and you can also pick one up in person at our Commercial Drive store.
