The Arc chamber is sized for a full load, and a small amount of herb sitting loose in it draws thin because conduction needs contact. This borosilicate glass spacer fills the empty space, under or over the load, so a half pack or a micro-dose still packs properly against the heater. Same idea as a half-pack oven lid on a PAX. The Zeus Arc GTS Hub Kit ships with one because that model runs loose herb as well as pods. Fits the Zeus Arc.
