The Proxy Core Kit is the version of the Proxy that arrives with everything you need, which is the thing worth being clear about before you buy. Puffco sells the Core two ways: as an accessory, which is the cup and mouthpiece for people who already own a Proxy base, and as this kit, which includes the base itself.
The Core is the glass-free way to run a Proxy. The base seats into an anodized aluminium cup with a silicone foot and a silicone mouthpiece, so there is no glass to chip and nothing to fill or empty before a session. That is what makes it the one to take out of the house.
Heating comes from the 3D chamber, where heat traces run through the ceramic walls and vaporize concentrate from the sides rather than only off the bottom. This version of the chamber is taller than the original, which cuts down the splash back up the air path. Three ceramic terp pearls are included, and they move as you draw so the load spreads across the heated walls instead of pooling in one spot.
It is Bluetooth enabled, so the Puffco Connect app gives you control over temperature, session length and the mood lighting on the base. Fast USB-C charging gets you up to 15 dabs per charge. The joystick cap in the box lets you steer airflow across the bowl part way through a dab.

Yes. The kit includes the Proxy base along with the Core cup, the Core mouthpiece, three ceramic terp pearls and a joystick cap. The separate Core Accessory is the cup and mouthpiece only, meant for people who already own a base, so it is worth checking which of the two you are looking at.
How do I use the Proxy Core?
Seat the Proxy base into the Core cup, load a small amount of concentrate into the ceramic chamber with a loading tool, fit the joystick cap, then hold the button to start heating. The device vibrates when it reaches temperature. Draw slowly, and tilt the cap to move airflow across the bowl.
Can I fly with the Proxy Core Kit?
The base belongs in your carry-on, as Transport Canada require of anything with a lithium battery. The Core is a compact piece, so this is one of the easier kits to travel with once the cup is emptied and wiped out. Pack the base and the Core apart from each other rather than assembled. As always, the hardware and what you put in it are two different legal questions.
How do I clean the Core cup and chamber?
Wipe the ceramic chamber with a cotton swab while it is still warm, which is far easier than letting the residue set hard. For a deeper clean, soak the chamber and the terp pearls in isopropyl alcohol, then rinse and dry them fully before use. The silicone mouthpiece and aluminium cup wipe clean.
What does the Puffco Connect app add?
The Proxy Core is Bluetooth enabled, so pairing it with the Puffco Connect app gives you control over the exact temperature, how long a session runs, and the mood lighting on the base. You can also check the battery level and run device firmware updates from the app rather than the button.
Can I use the base with Proxy glass and other attachments?
Yes. The Proxy base is modular, so it lifts out of the Core cup and drops into other Proxy bodies such as the Bub, the Droplet or the silicone travel pipe. That is the point of the system: one base, and you change the body around it depending on whether you want a dry draw or water filtration.
